A Faceless Chruch

I think it’s important to just explain the ‘churchless’ concept. It by no means implies that going to church is frowned upon or made nil-and-void. I am merely seeing a very strong tendency towards mature people of God, wanting MORE! Asking questions, and consequently leaving the church-building or organization as we know it, in pursuit of “church”…..
I don’t think at that point, when they leave, they know what they are looking for, and some aren’t even looking, but through circumstances created either in the formal church set-up, people or themselves, they get “thrusted” out by a “higher-hand” or “gently persuaded …this is not on!”

I call it: ‘Uit-gekerk’.
Sorry for the English speaking folk out there, it really just means: Done with church!!

For two years, I walked in condemnation, knowing my time of ‘serving’ and being faithful to a church-community of believers is done. The full essence of it, I was not able to dissect, because I was hurting, disappointed and to some extents disgusted. Out of my ashes I have confirmation today that it was a Faceless-move-of-God that brought about the drought, so that the seed, that HAD TO die, could once again give life.

This time the life will be life-giving to ALL men, and not to fragmented, weak and disobedient pew-sitters.

This is my personal experience to quitting completely from “church-as-I-know-it”.
I hope that it will inspire, lessen the condemnation and bring life to you out there in the globe that have agonized about your feelings of vulnerability, insecurity, alone-ness and feeling lost. Don’t worry about it anymore! For the meek in spirit will inherit the earth.

Only those that have experienced, being passionate about God, but strangely at odds with church, will understand what I’m talking about.

For those of you who are safely tucked into the comfortable position of the traditional church system, I forgive you for feeling disturbed. You might want to read further in hope of confirming your suspicions of a godless-move OR surprisingly opening up to authentic Christianity that you never knew existed.

For those of you who thrive on total independency and wish to reject or ignore authority, this might create within you the will and desire for something of Spirit and Truth and organic in you community. Being an island of self-sufficiency and self-centered holiness is not from God anyway.

I believe now, that there is “Church As God Intended”. There, where His Presence resides ALWAYS. Like the Ark of the Covenant, His Presence went everywhere where the Ark was carried. Small little bless-me-groups are exchanged for His ever moving presence. Significantly it is feared, because it means changing, and it means sacrificing and most of all it means possibly being persecuted and criticized, like the Pharisees of old.
